Remediation of elevated delay discounting in mid-life individuals (NIH/NIA R01 AG048904)

We are conducting a stage-II clinical trial in Baltimore, MD with underserved community members (40-60 years of age) using an executive functioning training paradigm. Our aim is to improve working memory in hopes of ameliorating excessively steep delay discounting and subsequently reducing engagement in negative health behaviors (e.g., chronic substance use) in individuals with early-life disadvantage.
